External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday hosted his counterparts from the United States, Japan, and Australia in New Delhi for the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Held under India’s chairmanship, the high-level meeting brought together US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi.
The meeting focused on reviewing regional security challenges and expanding cooperation among the four nations in key areas, including maritime security, connectivity, critical technologies, infrastructure, and strategic coordination in the Indo-Pacific region.
