As India celebrates its 77th Republic Day, the ceremonial parade has begun at the Kartavya Path in the national capital. This was followed after President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at the venue. During the parade, the nation’s battlefield prowess was on full display as the Army showcased its advanced attack helicopters, including RUDRA, Apache AH-64E, and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, in a spectacular formation flight. The aerial demonstration highlighted India’s growing capabilities to provide precise, lethal support to ground forces across diverse operational theatres. This year’s ceremony has featured a major international presence, with a European Union delegation attending as chief guests. The group includes European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa. The Republic Day event at Kartavya Path has been themed around 150 years of Vande Mataram.
