The Additional District and Sessions Court in Kotdwar pronounced its verdict on Friday (May 30) in the high-profile Ankita Bhandari murder case, which has gripped the nation’s attention since September 2022. Uttarakhand resort owner, two employees were convicted for 2022 murder of teen receptionist Ankita Bhandari.
On May 30, 2025, the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kotdwar, delivered its judgment in Case Crime No. 1/22 under Sections 302, 201, 354A of the IPC and Section 3(1)(d) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (Ankita Bhandari murder case), convicting all three accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
